Every once in a while you taste something truly amazing, this happened to Chris and Elliot one evening when they were lucky enough to try the Hapusa Gin. A Gin made from Himalayan Juniper found near the mountains snow lines. The Gin is distilled in India, arguably the birth place of the humble Gin and Tonic.
We thought we should share this little Gem with New Zealand so we got chatting and we have just landed 60 bottles, 55 of them available through our website. We didn’t argue when they wouldn’t let us try out the Himalayan Juniper ourselves.
The taste is beautiful, sitting at 43 percent she packs a delicate classic floral punch. The nose is very fresh, notes of juniper dance with lime and wildflowers. A little sweetness from the mango shines through, balancing the spices.
Chris and Elliot don’t put there name out on the line very often but we think this gin is rather wonderful. Our favourite mixer we have found is the East imperial Burma tonic.
